Cool. Cows really need space and companionship, which all animals do really. But with cows the space need is magnified obviously.

yeah, a farmer looks at it as pounds of milk, but having to milk each one twice a day, it adds up

why not sheep? they are notorious for being able to become other animals...

a friend of mine had a goat farm. The goats are fairly easy to maintain. As far as SHTF, I would go with goats. But the milk really seems to taste like the goat smells. Not sure why. But they sold the milk and the majority of their customers were doctors.

So doctors must be smart enough to know that the chemicals in the milk you buy at the store are harmful to your health.
