predators are enormously abundant in pacific NW , cougars, wolves, coyotes, bears , every kind of bird of prey. My folks will not raise any small farm animals b/c of this and they even lose a dog every few years.

with some research i see Lamma's, dog's, and guard donkeys. lol

dogs are a given but donkeys realy intrigue me, strong front hoof and rear attacks , and they protect flocks according to some of the articles .

I wonder if a dog/donkey 1-2 battery would be a decent livestock protector combo.

i heard about that before from someone that visited a donkey rescue farm in ontario.

I wonder what else they do though, ive never heard of donkey meat or milk. i suppose lawn mowing, guarding and pack mule if theyre not too stubborn.

donkeys and aplacas are very protective as well, I know someone who raises alpacas, nothing gets near his other animals
