predators are enormously abundant in pacific NW , cougars, wolves, coyotes, bears , every kind of bird of prey. My folks will not raise any small farm animals b/c of this and they even lose a dog every few years.
with some research i see Lamma's, dog's, and guard donkeys. lol
dogs are a given but donkeys realy intrigue me, strong front hoof and rear attacks , and they protect flocks according to some of the articles .
I wonder if a dog/donkey 1-2 battery would be a decent livestock protector combo.
I know a few folks that have guard donkeys. They are very good at their job. They can catch a predator in their front feet and kill them.
The manure is great for gardens, and they are really sturdy and can be taught to pull loads and carry packs.
