sure i can make some later when i get home, in the office now.

here's what it looks like from a 3yr old ground level perspective...

img2440r.jpg

one of the dwarfs coming out for dinner...

img2441l.jpg

row of cages for secure shelter under the bungalow...

img2444r.jpg

i would have strapped explosives to some of these in 'nam and blown charlie to bits...

img2445ti.jpg

entire thing gets raked by my oldest boy twice a week with everything collected going into the compost pile or mulch to shelter from the sun...

i try and keep one male for at least two or three females. right now i have 5 really healthy large lops and either 14 or 15 females from all shapes sizes and colors. all of them are from standard thai markets that happen in each city probably once every two or three months.

can have anywhere from 50 to 100 babies in there at a time and all but a few will be sold in the local market for anywhere from 125 to 200 thb. sold only for pets, thai's won't eat them. we won't die them but many thai's will , so you will see multi colored rabbits and chickens at these kinds of markets.

the biggest males own the tunnels, the females and babies either stay in the cages on the fresh cut grass or hide under the big pieces of bamboo that i put in for food and shade.

Do the rabbit cages have solid floors, or are they chicken wire/hardware cloth type?

I raised my cages off of the ground, and I had a few instances of dogs getting to the rabbits' feet.

the cages are a thick wire mesh, and that is covered with dried or fresh cut grass. below that is a slide out tray for the poop. haven't seen any dogs in here since i smacked the one trying to get at my chicken carcass blowgun target, right in the head with a stun dart. the rest of the fencing is standard wire mesh about 3 1/2' high and goes about one foot underground, with a second piece that i've tied in to the first below ground and laid flat to help prevent them tunneling out.
