i have a horse already. It's staying at my in laws as they have a little bit more room for it.

Im thinking about buying another 2.5 acres next to my house that has a pond on it. (The pond is a breeding pool for duckweed! Score one for aquaponics!)

my my question is this. If I have a horse and cow(for eventual butchering)is 2.5 acres of grass and woods enough for both?

That is plenty of room for them but will be a little tight for 100 % grazing, you will probably need to supplement them with hay or grain
