Oh gosh, this is bringing back memories. I didn't post about it but we have lost a lot of chickens to hawks. We are down to 2 females and 1 rooster. I lost 1 female to mites, I think, a few days ago. She got lethargic, not eating, etc. and died. Now I need to treat the coop and all the other birds. We think they were brought in by 4 guineas a buddy dropped off, 3 male 1 female. 2 of the males vanished randomly (I think something got them at night) and one male wandered ~1 mile to a busy road and got hit. All that is left is the one female guinea.
