Joel is right up there with Bill Mollison and Sepp Holzer in my opinion. A bit different in the micro details of their approaches, but all in the same general vein of respecting and utilizing natural systems. The beauty of it all is that they freely provide amazingly valuable knowledge to the world at large simply because it is the right thing to do.

There are no proprietary patents, just sharing the wealth. I can't tell you how influential quick videos like this have been on me, and I am sure so many others. I'm one more straw on the camels back because of stuff exactly like this.
