We have a hybridized type of coy wolf here. Last week there were 2 of them killed by hunters at Pipestem Park...about 2 hours from me. For the first time ever, the DNR came forward and named them as hybrid coyote/wolves. They were between 70-80 lbs. Yesterday someone on facebook posted this pic of one supposedly taken in a wildlife mgmt. area that backs up to our farm...about 3 miles away. This doesn't look hybrid to me...looks too large. I'm leaning towards this being a hoax brought about by someone who saw the DNR article on the news. Just thought I'd post it here on the off chance that the pic has been floating round the internet and someone may have seen it before. If so I won't have to worry about monsters in the woods.... The 75 pound coy mixes are more than enough to have to worry about!!! Opinions please...

Me too. I understand trapping serves a purpose but it is brutal to the animal. We have some as a prep for catching small game if there were ever a food crisis. It would have to be an absolute necessity for our survival though, as I'm too soft-hearted to profit from something elses suffering.... Yes, thats probably a girl attitude, but I am a girl, lol.

the other issue I have with trapping is you can catch a animal you weren't meaning to or not in season, knew of a guy who caught a turkey, called game warden to ask about dispatching it and was told the law does not allow it, just to let it go, with a broken leg
