My Pekin duck seems to be broody, but , so far, she only stays on her nest of eggs for 2-3 hours at a time. Then she gets off and goes about her business with her mate as usual. Will she start staying on the nest full time as chickens do? I have never raised ducks before.

 how many eggs are there? sometimes they wait till they get "enough" eggs before they start seriously sitting on them, you can make a pretty inexpensive incubator if you are concerned about her sit time
