They are doing great! Huge and still very docile. The larger boar is finally tall enough to breed my Hampshire gilt and I think he may have done the job a few weeks ago. Have to see if she goes back into heat or not. Ill try to get a pic up tomorrow...haven't taken any for awhile.
Indelicate subject, but have any of you been around breeding pigs before? My boar is following my gilt and snapping his teeth together in this rapid clicking noise. I don't know if I'm ever getting piglets from this gilt. He's been chasing her around for 2 heat cycles and she won't stand for him to breed. She still outweighs him and overpowers him.

do you have a smaller separate breeding pen? every morning put the boar in it and bring the gilt to him before they eat, he'll figure it out and that way she can't run from him
