We have an american bulldog. She's very sweet, and just big enough to look intimidating. She can be a little stubborn sometimes, but overall a sweet dog. She'll bark at anyone she doesn't know, but isn't overly aggressive towards anyone.

Nah I understand getting the dog you want.

I always hear muts are the best behaved.

I picked one up on New Years day running down a busy road.

Very lucky, this thing is well behaved and super smart.

A trainer was probably telling me what I wanted to hear but he insisted that often times a dog that survives running the roads has to be smart, and makes a good dog and a good candidate for training.

Anyway yea I would rather pick what I want, but don't be afraid of a good mixed dog.

Whatever you decide on check for common health problems for the breed, many have been over bread and have common health problems.
