Warning, some of the video is pretty rough
Understatement.
That was barbaric and gruesome.
Sadly I fear the examples shown were not the extremes, but standard.
While becoming vegetarian may give him the warm fuzzies, the idea that he is saving animals just doesn't hold up. Getting the message out is good, but I just wish I could believe that it had a more significant impact on the matter than I suspect it does.
There are so many mouths to feed, that I just cannot fathom a way to process such large quantities humanely. So much goes to waste too. Meat has an expiration date at the Supermarket.
It really makes you feel helpless to change it and appalled that people can do that as a daily routine no less.

It's good to see these videos to remind us what is happening behind closed doors. This was one of the harder ones to watch that I've seen.
That being said, it is also unfortunate that they are using disinformation (I'm sure they believe it on some level) of meat in the diet to also push the cause.
My wife and I spend more for local grass-fed/pasture raised animals for both health and cruelty reasons, but it's worth it and the price is a significant factor for us looking to homestead and raise or own animals.
