one of the turkeys is a little confused, I think she thinks she's a mother

hmm, I locked the turkeys up in the coop the other night and noticed yesterday morning it looks like something was trying to get into the coop, I might need to sit out tonight and do a little recon

so my wife felt bad for the turkeys yesterday and let them out again, the tom is starting to get big

9419888674_b62a078be8_c.jpg

so I told her she is going to chase them to get them back in the coop, she said don't worry, they'll find somewhere to roost, 20 minutes later she said see, their roosting on your 4 wheeler

5 minutes later one hopped up on the seat and crapped on it :(

so I figured it was time to build them a real roost, so we still had those wooden spools

so i rolled them down to the yard and nailed some 2x4's between the spools for roosting and put a ladder on the end in case they needed it

my wife says it looks like a stagecoach

they took to it pretty fast

hopefully it will keep them from wandering at night

so the birds went right on it last night, this morning I get up take a shower, brush my teeth and I hear gobbling on the roof behind me, what the heck, so I walk around the building and there are the turkeys just chilling on the back berm, I got to figure a way to keep them from wandering in the morning now, great

3 nights in a row and the birds are taking right to it

still need to figure a way to keep them wandering in the morning though, thinking about putting a gate between the cabin deck and our side shed
