Oh yes I have seen those and I would imagine they are much cheaper and just as effective.
WAYYY CHEAPER here is a do it yourself where you can make your own Alaskan Sawmill.

My dad use to take me to the hills on a friends property to cut fire wood. Every 2 quarts we cut him(the friend) we would get to keep a quart. To bad we could not have lugged this beast of the hill with us.
This would probably be more realistic
