its just a yard tractor, craftsman 22hp, but I swear that little thing is mighty. I maintained a half mile of steep mountain road with it all winter. we got it free in great shape, buddy hooked me up with the plow blade for $100 from one they never used on their ranch (they have REAL tractors, lol). I got wheel weights off craigslist & my local tire shop build me some chains. I was truly amazed how well it preformed this winter. I want to get a small utility trailer for hauling brush, supplies, wood, & such around without tearing up my property with the dodge. I am looking for a rake too, I have a never ending supply of pine needles that pile up across my 5 acres.... basically right now I have a 1 match wild fire on my hands :). I have a DNRC buddy that is a fire behaviorist. He is going to bring 20 guys out with tankers & hand tools and do a controlled burn for me as a "training" exercise for his guys. Nice to have friends! I have literally 3"-8" (in some spots more) of pine duff & general forrest debree all over my land. Its a little scary, the firesafety maintenance seems to have gotten away from the previous owners for the last 5 or so years before we bought the place so I have been doing as much as I can to catch up but its alot of work just to get even, its never ends.
Ideally I'd love to have a 4-wheeler, but I'v got about $150=-$200 into this thing and I see it doing the job for many years, its practically brand new. I just need to add a cup holder-Plowing is thirsty work.
I look like a shriner when i use it, lol. I'm 6'4", 230lbs...
basically this one. I pulled the mowing deck & added the blade & weights.
