Since the pond we had put in filled up fast we decided to have another put in right in front of it. Our plans are to filter, and use this water for household duties. We still plan on the rainwater catchment as well. Sawdust toilets are still the plan as well, so not going to be wasting any water on that. This pond is 15 ft deep, and same diameter as first pond. Plenty of water volume. Any ideas on water filtration systems? We will use Berkey systems for drinking, and cooking water. Been really busy on interior of the house. Goal is to be in it by summer.

I will dig out area between the two ponds with an excavator to allow the two ponds to flow together, and keep same water level.

How did you seal the pond?  If you posted a thread about installing it, I must have missed.

He posted some pics on another thread. Let me look for them. I think his soil is so clay heavy it sealed it self
