I was just gifted a fairly new 80 gal water heater (12 year warranty) This thing is only 2 years old now. I currently have a 40 gallon in the house that is good for us. 3 people and only 1 bath.
I'm thinking of installing it outside and build a small room for it against the house. The extra water would be nice. This would also free up a closet in a small house. win-win?
Then I would have a 40 gallon to play with.
Kvr had mentioned in another thread about piping it in before my main heater as a means to store water without ever having to rotate water stock or worry about water storage safety measures.
I could also tear it apart to make a batch solar heater to feed my current heater or use to heat pool water.
Any ideas are welcome!
batch solar heater would be sweet, or that rocket stove set up
