Thanks for posting about our Pit Garden!  How high is your water table?  Ours is only about 12ft deep which luckily wasn't an issue as we didn't dig below about 7ft.

it's a great project, our table is about this high most of the year

so we made lemonade out of lemons

We are in central Maine, we were using them for watering our chickens, but they were ripped out to put the driveway in for our barn when we built it
