I showed my wife the 2 threads I made and posed the question what if we converted the gazebo into a outdoor kitchen
she was not against it
my top concern is the water table, with what I have in mind, one side will be heavier than the other, you can see how much the gazebo has heaved in the pic above, in the pic below as well, this is normal and happens every year, so I contacted my earth work guy today about doing some serious drainage in the yard and back field, I was thinking of doing swales any ways,
gratuitous chicken shot
so what would you do with a 12x12 gazebo to convert into a outdoor kitchen with a dining area?

flagstone or concrete pad area to the side to build your mother earth news outdoor stove on? or stove under the roof?
how bad are the flies and mosquitoes there? would it be necessary to screen it in? I have a portable cooktop that I can outside with and I always wish I had walls to keep out the bugs when it gets later in the evening.
tiki torches or red chili pepper light strings?
that's a great gazebo. keep the cooking area simple and you'll still have plenty of lounging area.
