to post pics, right click on the pic you want to post and click on copy image location, image url or just copy, depending on your browser

click on the little picture icon and it will insert the image tags

paste the url between the tags

hit submit

have you decided what you want on the exterior? Are you going to leave it metal?

Thanks Eddie. I would love to see pics of your actual structure.

We are planning to put metal siding for lack of maintenance in the future. Haven't decided on exterior color for sure, but looks like it will go up by end of next month or early April. Before the Texas heat wave overwhelm us all. I personally like the light gray with white roof, and trim, and Linda like a red roof with light beige exterior. All I know is that I am ready to get back to simplicity, and self sufficiency.

I went out and looked at 1000 and 1500 gallon rainwater storage tanks today, and now I have homework to do on a good affordable filtration system to be able to actually drink this water as well as everything else.

have you thought of using heat reflective or insulative paint on the outside? I first saw it years ago on Bob Villa's Home Again, the energy savings was suppose to be pretty darn good for not a lot of money, it might help with keeping the place cool

Haven't given that a thought until now. Thanks Kvr28. Anyone have any pics or first hand experience on rainwater catchment, and storage for in home use?
