Anyone have any experience? I'm reading the Cob Builder's Handbook by Becky Bee right now and have been doing a little research online. It sounds perfect, too good to be true.

My goal is to buy a cheap house in town, pay off the mortgage asap, rent it out for income and go build a place on a nice 5-10 acre plot of land. I have a lot of time to think about it, but I like what I've learned so far about cob.

I'm going to try and drag the fiance to a workshop a few hours from here. There are 2 or 3 a year around me so I should have no trouble participating and learning that way, but I'm always looking to hear more about it before I go off getting obsessed.

Like the way you are thinking, even if you change the details, you have the right mindset.
