So finally got the computer back together and able to make my post. Once I got the top done I started to work on the frame I needed to set it on.

I made a very simple frame.

After that I started working on my legs, ended up going with black iron and galvanized mounts.

I wanted a cleaner look so I sanded with 140 to start and finished with 220.

I then used Rustolem Industrial paint, flat black is the color I choose.

Once I got the legs painted I needed to figure out how I was going to connect the legs to the table, again trying to go as simple as possible considering I don't really know what I'm doing. lol. Ended up just putting 45's in the corner.

Now I have legs frame and top time for some trim pieces, took some 6" pine I had lying around and ripped it down to 4 1/2" made it look nice and clean, applied conditioner.

Then added my Ebony stain again

Wiped it away and stood in shock... I just love the color this stain gives... just love it.

Didn't go with the high gloss again ended up going with a satin gloss just to break it up a bit.

Assembled all of my pieces and set it up in my room!

After doing some testing and some mocking up I found out that I forgot cable management. I then cut out some holes on the top of the desk.

Took 4 conduit 2" to 2 1/2" adapter and cut it down some and painted it flat black.

Glued them into place.

Now came the fun part, got it all set up and enjoyed how it came out. A few tweaks may be on the way but we will see soon enough.

There was a bug with my RAID controller. Had to redownload updated BIOS and install it.

Riad controller LOL.  Just put a SSD's in their and call it good, i'm blown away what a difference ssd's make.

Just got done fixing a server that had a raid array.  Ran for 8.5 years!!  They ran it until it failed and i got a call.  Well...you just cannot run a domain server for 8.5 years straight LOL....think that would be pretty obvious.   Good times.

Your table turned out great!!

Lol, I have a bit of a problem with overkill... I purchased 4 128gb ssd's a couple years ago and put them all in raid 0 with a striped array. It is lightning fast! But totally not needed.
