I think that falls back onto a lot of the mental health issues within the homeless community which seriously need to be addressed
Yes, its apparent that homeless is as much a 'state of mind' as monetary reality. Is mental illness to be addressed as a 'social disease'? And if so, by WHOM and HOW? (I had nurse training in a genuine 'Cuckoo's Nest' which HOUSED these people, but never could help them really) Meanwhile these people continue to live a less than healthy, happy life. Placing a 'shelter' over them does get them out of the weather, but is it in essence only a 'dog house' for people? And if so, is that what they are 'content' with? And will these become the next 'shopping carts' that litter back alleys returning to a junk pile state when the person 'in' them goes off to another location? And worse yet - will the other homeless FIGHT over these and displace the 'owners' of the tiny houses? So many concerns and few long term answers.
My personal motto - The Home, a peace worth fighting for.
