No. That's the pond area digging for fill. They hit a large ridge of rock you can see in the left half of the picture. The first picture is pre-fill and the third picture is post-fill with bedding.

 

I have pics and videos of the culvert install but that will need to wait till after construction. My days are long right now overseeing everything and trying to keep prep work one step ahead of the construction. Today is the first that I officially fell behind and they had some idle time. Idle time is potentially expensive. Fortunately he did not bill it to me.

For now. Everything done in the pond area so far has been for fill dirt. Finishing the pond was to be done later. I may leave it for decorative value, and I may leave it if it is too expensive to justify removing it. But that's not a decision I need to make right now.
