So I was avoiding studying for a test today and drew this up. Stack blocks, parge outer wall, waterproof, compact interior, insulate, form, and set rebar (not pictured), pour slab. I think that you could add chicken wire over the insulation and then parge the foam to the slab but my biggest concern is for termite areas where you need to leave a visible gap to see them coming in. That or use expensive mesh installed by a "professional".

Absolutely. I think that ideally that area would be covered, but needing termite inspection forces you to have some area exposed. Maybe tapering that edge with foam? I think the ideal is using the termite flashing. However, finding a company to work with proved difficult for me so I keep trying to find a workaround:
