The gist of the article is about blacksmithing in less than ideal conditions, but I think it's a good guide for finding steel to work with-places to go, and types to look for.

This new hobby has prompted my first eye doc appointment in 5 or 6 years.  My sons broke both pairs of glasses a couple of years ago and I've just squinted my way through life since then.  

I pick up my new prescription safety glasses on Tuesday.
