Well, I finally got some time to build my chicken tracor. I had a small coop and decided to build around it. I used some 2x4s and repurposed some wood from my son's playset that was damaged in the last hurricaine. Had some hardware cloth and some leftover poly fencing from the new garden fence.

The frame is an 8'x3' footoprint. I attached a ramp to the coop door and attached 1x2s every 8" up the ramp. I hung a bucket with the Aquamiser nipples for water underneath the coop in the shade. I have two access doors, on in the back and one on top that will allow me to open and close the coop door. The 10' handles overhang the front and the back so I can move it. Still thinking about how to attach some big wheels to the front to make it a little easier.

I figure tomorrow I'll let the chicks spend a little time out there and in a week or two, we'll move them out for good!

Wow that looks really good, great job groin. How many chickens will you be keeping in there?

looks awesome groin, this was my idea for mounting a wheel so that it still fits flush to the ground, mount the wheel on a swing arm that sits in a upward position, when you want to lock the wheel in place to move the tractor, just swing it down and into position where the arm will hit the retention pin (which can be just a nail in the board) which will keep the wheel from swing all the way up
