Again, I'm loving the pond picture.
Have you been tracking the water level in any way to get an idea of the rise and fall of the water level as it fills?
I think I will try to track the water level of mine as it fills to see how much I gain from rain falls and loose to seepage and evaporation. Not sure if I will have the option of filling from my stream with a ram pump. Of course I'm getting way ahead of myself. But thanks to you latest update photo, I have the idea to do so. I think a wood stake marked every 3 inches set and reset at the waterline as it shifts, and a second stake at a fixed point along the edge so I can measure the distance from edge to waterline. Those and a logbook. Nuts, now I'm curious.

Of course it is KVR and Batman was there to patrol, and protect. That's our son that just graduated high school. He is a walking miracle with no right side brain, and cerebral paulsy. Has a drivers lisence, his own little house/cabin, and can build just about anything he put his mind to out of wood. Oh and I forgot to mention one heck of an airbrush artist. We are so proud of him indeed. Took him a bit longer to graduate but he did it. Back to the ladder on top of the scafold......It is a test that we are conducting to see if we can get it approved. Earthenstead we have a little over 4 ft in the center with just 2 rains so far, and holding pretty steady. The clay is very deep after the first 4 ft or so. We will have no problem holding water, and hats off to the gent that built the tank. He studied the land , and put it in the best place for catching water effectively.
1st rain yeild about 2 ft
2nd rain got us to this, and my wife is 5'1", and she is standing almost in the center with our adopted son in tow.
