He's missing a bit of detail but it's a good read and he did nice work on the details (see the wiring).

Also, makes me want to use steel headers where I have large spans, anyone have a good span table? A civil engineer shouldn't be needed for this.

I think I have some span tables, let me look for them. Another option is check with the company you are thinking of getting the steel from, they usually have an engineer on hand that will do the calculations for you. Our local building supplier does. We call them, tell we what we want to do and they calculate the size of the joists and rafters for us.
