I am interested in possibly building my own log splitter, well I have been tossing the idea around for a couple of years now. I just aquired 3 rams from an old plow setup along with the hydrolic pump, and i guess it would be called the control set up to activate the rams and some assorted hoses & misc other stuff. I also have a few side shaft motors in the 7-10hp range. I know nothing in regards to how strong the rams from a plow set up are, and if they are even strong enough to use in such a project. Can anyone give me some insight on whether or not I can use any of this stuff towards a log splitter build? Thank you in advance for any help!!!
