Has anyone tried these to make one of these, or had any experience with them? I don't know a lot about stuff like this so it could be very common, but I have not come across this in my travels until now.

I think these would be ideal for pumping water from a stream to fill containers for water produce, animals, etc without any investment in manpower. Sort of along the lines a water wheel pump I guess.

I saw one in use on tv where a couple of hillbillies made one a d used it to was dirt and mud when they were looking for gems. They did not show how to build it just showed it working. They moved water through a water hose I think it was

100 feet.

It was a reality show and dish. The name escapes me.
