agreed, it took a little time to get use to the handling of it, they were designed for off roading more than the street, I wasn't a fan of the stock tires that came with it, they were to soft. I needed to learn to depend on the safety devices incorporated into the truck, like traction control, anti slip ect. It actually handles better in snow in two wheel drive, because once you shift it into 4 wheel, you lose the traction control

With the Fj they have a two stage safety for driving, AST active stability control that automatically applies brakes to keep the vehicle from sliding and then your traction control over that I believe in 4wd it only shuts off the AST not traction, unless your in 4low. But still its nothing like driving an older vehicle where its all the driver and the cars ability. That's where the snow is fun!
