Perfect timing. I just started the process of redoing our kitchen cabinets and counter top today. Received all of my pine and lumber so off to the races! But any who this helps out for my counter top ideas.

Reviving this thread because I'll be pre-casting my countertop for the bathroom.

That looks awesome! Beautiful idea. Any problems with cast in place? My concern is surface finish. With pre-cast I can pour it outside and grind/polish it there. Doing it inside... I don't want to make a mess and my finishing trowel skills are not where I want them.
