ICRI, Good luck with the project.  Can't wait to see how it comes out.

Thanks Gravel! I'll mostly be following what KVR posted with a few exceptions: I'll be doing some 100 grit grinding to show the aggregate, and I won't be doing any fancy edges as the video showed. Also, instead of slurry I'll just be using concrete patch for cost reduction.

Great video though! I need to get or improvise a caulk ball. Hoping to pour on Wednesday due to the curing time needed.

Hope I'm not hijacking this thread:

Made the sink forms and bought two 1" CPVC couplings that are the perfect diameter for the single hole faucets. Little worried bout getting them out so I'll likely do it while the concrete is still green.

You can see the countertop on left and the two pieces of the backsplash on the right. Think I'm going to go 1.25" thick just to ensure that the rebar is fully embedded. I'll fill 2/3 of the way up, vibrate the table, place the rebar, then top her off and screed. I'll rip the 1.25" pieces tomorrow, caulk it all together, and pour by the end of the day.

I'd probably leave it till it set, could just use a hacksaw blade to carefully cut it out if it is being stubborn

Really nicely! Gave it 4 days in the form and I'm going to give it one more out before I start polishing. My wife has asked for exposed aggregate so I'm going to do a test spot with 200, then 100, then 50 until I get the look I want. For an outdoor countertop, it'd be fine as is, just use concrete patch for the small holes and then you're golden.

Little bit of ghosting from the re-bar but I suspect/hope that this will disappear as it dries out. Otherwise I would recommend that you not do the 2/3, re-bar, 1/3 rule, just fill her up and then tap the re-bar in until it's covered.
