Very nice...don't forget the back brace when you lift that stone.

My density calculations put it at about 225 plus about 5lbs of rebar. Based on what it felt like, maybe 240. I'll have my 6'7" rugby-playing brother-in-law help me cart it into the room.

Thanks Gravel! I used the back brace + straps so that I didn't have to bend over too far.

Just hit it with the 200grit pad and I think that's as low as I'll be going. 400 would have been fine but no going back. Need to pick up a variable speed grinder though. The 11,000rpm $30 Ryobi that I've got just destroyed my forearms in about 5 minutes. Also it spun so fast that it threw off the diamond pad, into my thigh and then another 30 feet.

Where was that thread on safety?

Grinders have always had my respect, things can go bad real quick with them.

Not sure if they still make them...they must...I have used the Fore Arm Forklifts before...they really make heavy and bulky items easier and safer to move...keep your back straight though (and use your brace).

Came across this and wanted to suggest it for anyone willing to take on a new project. Great way to hone their ping pong skills and concrete skills at the same time, for much less than $11k
