This video reminded me of a few things -

1) use of 'what's at hand' results in a building that is most appropriate for area built in.

2) How CONSCIOUSLY living in active relationship with one's home is so very satisfying and comforting. It really helps to provide a feeling of living on/with the world that no mainly human oriented structure could make.

3) how ironic that the community of Taos, which has become more yuppie-fied (?) denigrates the very essence of what draws people to it - unique/artsy oriented human living in a less than human friendly place. Guess 'spiritual' has to be defined by a magazine?!? (phooey!)

I love the functionality of these buildings, but I doubt that many will choose to re-create such structures not just due to looks, but mainly because it requires thought and effort. The human world seems to have backed itself into a very COMPLICATED 'corner' of specialization and esteem based upon human centered wished for 'values'. Ma Nature will have the last word, just hope some humans can hold on and make the adjustments.

Rather than hail/follow ONE person's efforts and struggles, it makes me smile to think of there being a BUNCH of such folk, all doing their own thing and NOT 'lining up to save bullets' . Reminds me of the saying about attempting to herd cats - good luck on that!
