That was my thought too. Ran some numbers a few years ago and it was actually a bit more, but I was overbuilding it.

Interesting, I guess that's what they used for the roof/berm transition. Definitely limited by climate but you could always rigid foam/stucco the exterior? Maybe not.
Now that I have a full keyboard: I love the idea of shipping container builds because you can actually ship the container and all materials required to finish out the house in the container. What I don't like is that you're limited to these rectangular prisms and it feels like a labyrinth to me. Putting wood and drywall on the inside and wood and siding/stucco on the outside feels like it defeats the purpose of it.
With the dry-stack you are building and finishing your walls in fewer steps. The parge coat is your interior wall. I've seen a few houses where they use the 4x8 sheets as their flooring and that I suppose would be what I'm pushing for. Making the structure double as the finish layer? Cutting out the redundancies.
