So I think it's official -- we are going with snow fence. I plan on using t-posts and some special metal clips I saw that are made to secure it to the t-posts. I will then just use 4x4 posts or similar for the gate entrance. I will let you know how it goes -- I am hoping to avoid using hardware mesh along the bottom due to the expense. We have a lot of critters out here.

Would field mice go after vegetables? I have no experience with this -- we lived in a big city and the mice/rats never went after them. The squirrels sure did, however.

So here is the city boy in my coming out. I checked out Wikipedia and a vole is just a meadow mouse? We have mice out here -- I catch them in my solar barn every once in a while. My dog eats them. My dog actually goes after mice -- she can hear them I think.

Looks like I might need the hardware mesh after all. And a 22 -- that I have.

Did some research -- looks like I will be burying some hardware mesh around the garden. SOB I thought I was going to get out of this for cheap.
