When I first saw it, I thought, wow, that seems almost like overkill, like using the cross pieces seems wasteful, but then I listened to it and really thought about it...no posts, no cement, no digging holes...just some screws and old, retired pallets. So, if you have leased land, or if you're not sure yet if you want something permanently put in one spot, it seems it'd work great! I wonder though, how it will do on land that is not completely level...something we have to think about a lot here in WV!
