Unfortunately, $700 to $800. I try to avoid keeping detailed costs of all of our projects around here.

Lots of strawberries, roma tomatoes, peppers, pumpkins, sunflower, corn, sugar peas, watermelon -- think that is it. We planted all stuff we could eat/enjoy and tried to limit the size of the garden for the first year. We'll see if we want/need more room next year. Our soil is very sandy so we will always need to bring in top soil and/or use raised beds.

well, you did a great job, you could also hang some planters from the fence to add more space for not a lot of money, or put some welded wire across the posts and plant some grapes and train them on that

Thanks K. My wife wants to hang flowers out from each post with some sort of a metal hanger. We found some wild grapes out by our creek -- but there is a lot of shade from the tree tops and who knows how long it has been since they have produced fruit.

Not sure, is this the time of year? I need to go check on them by the creek. A friend pointed out wild huckleberry plants and now I see them *everywhere*. Hopefully I can grab some berries off of them before the deer do.

BTW a neighbor brought by some squirrel meat over the weekend. It was awesome.

Nothing has gotten in -- except some tomato caterpillars -- but I think those came with our plants. I don't have any cameras out or anything but even since we have gotten rid of our dog I have not seen any sign of any critter other than turkey or deer coming around. So far so good.
