It will slide on wood with smooth lanolium on top. I simply used a regular full sized bed and took two rows of coils out of it making it 64" long and the regular 54" wide. I cut 2 pieces of 5/8 BC plywood 32"x54". Screwed on runners on each side of the walls. Only one piece of ply is stationary for the sofa. The other piece simply goes under stationary piece for storing. Lay second piece on runners and place support under the front, and slide bed down flat, and sleep. There will be a storage bar with small cabinets up top that bed slides behind keeping it from flopping down when in sofa position. This thing comes in at just a tad under 1000 lbs with bed, storage, a/c, and front cabinets at the door.
