They definitely did a lot of things well. I like the way the set the rebar for the walls into the footing.  Look at the redundancy with drainage, good insurance.  Plus they width is minimal so they don't need a carrying beam.

I like the use of the bullseye levels, I would still use a 4 or 6 foot as well. One piece of advice I have for you is to start your surface bonding on the outside wall that is going to be bermed, make your mistakes there instead of inside the house where they will be seen.
