Bull and cut out a chisel.

RF Kiln dried. Those small of pieces 2-5 days.

One donkey.

Back to a shape bull. Overhand technique.

Sanding and buffing. Food safe oil.

Super well done video and calming music.

I found this one on a used site. It is overbuilt by someone who was a millwright. $190 Canadian. The chuck is a 4 Jaw which is rather useless and unsafe. Things like a tool holder like shown can be nice but it is more meant for metal or spindle work imo.

For me it would all come down to having a speed (rpm) control and a proper recessed jaw and chuck. These two things for me are the most important options.

I'd get together your face mask and grinder for sharpening first which are tools that are multi platform use.

Even if you are on the fence about starting to turn I would start collecting wood for projects. Green bowls are usually rough turned, then packed back into their own sawdust to continue drying. I spend more time right now using a electric chainsaw to rough out bowl dimensions from pieces of logs. I like Ogle for his inside and outside turned bowls from logs.
