So when we tore down the wall in the house we removed the bedroom door and that has been sitting down in the workshop, I was looking at it yesterday and thinking I should build a table out of it. I really like The Axe table I posted last year.

I will call it the shining!

Trying to brainstorm how to mount the axes. Any ideas?

This guy showed how he did it, but there has to be a cleaner way than that.

That thing is awesome! Is the door foam core or solid slab? Could you leave one "removable" for emergency situations? Might have to play with the balance to ensure that it would stand without a 4th leg.

Solid pine door, harbor freight has the axes for 29 bucks, i think they are either 32 or 34 inch

not sure, the door is pretty heavy

I was thinking of putting glass on top of it.

and sneak out some night and slide this under the glass for my wife to find in the morning
