Some good tips

I'm gonna build a belt sander, I have a motor from an old table saw that I have kicking around. Going to try a router control with it to speed it down.

might need to do some gearing if that doesn't work.

yup that variable speed should work well, about the same price for a digital readout in Hz or rpm I think
