There is a surge in intrest lately here in the use of container homes, not for long term use , but as short term accommodation for the homeless and low wages.

and this one in Brighton, which has always had a homeless problem , its got a reputation for be arty, and gay tolerant and for drug use.. and it is a popular beach resort with seasonal work.

Not the expansion or adventurous use I'd like to see with them, but if people become familiar with the concept it may help spread the word.

No not on the surface, but we have like you a sizeable undocumented illigal immigrant population, that rely on the black economy, so its hard to tell. We have landlords that let out garden shed, and charge ridiculous sums for them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEh0Al5a8Sk
Although the government says there is a housing shortage, there really is not... We have 780,000 vacant or second homes, more than enough to accommodate say 2 million people. But they tend to be owned by the type of person that votes for the government.
