There's a little harbor in Falmouth, MA where there a few of these little water house/cabin things. Seem like such a cool thing to have. Most of them have stoves inside for heat as you can see by the pics. I'm not sure if these are just a daytrip kind of cabin but I would guess that as long as you have a dingy or some kind of boat to get out to them that you could stay there almost year round.
