Water Dish Under Bird Feeder | Construction and DIY projects | Forums

Has anyone read or seen anything on this? We have a bird feeder out back that the birds love. The only problem is that it's above our deck so we're collecting a decent pile of bird poop. Instead of cleaning regularly I'd like to take advantage of the nitrogen.

There was a permaculture video that I had seen a few years ago where they had large tubs of water available beneath fruit trees for the birds to bath in. Every couple of weeks they flipped the tubs and refilled them. The nutrients helped the fruit trees produce.
