We want to get started on putting up fencing for a herd of goats so they can do some underbrushing, and raise the trees on the property.

The next project would be a solar powered slow sand filter for the pond and develop that more into a natural swimming pool, this is going to be a major project if I tackle it.

I can help with this. I have been running a utility transfer pump that can do ~2,000 gallons an hour (when not clogged) and it is only using ~400 watts. That isn't very much. If you had a set up going to only run the pump when the sun is shining then you won't need a crazy setup.

The following users say thank you to PorkChopsMmm for this useful post:

I am using this transfer pump. Not the same as a pond pump... it is more like a sump pump... but it uses 1/3rd the power of a blow dryer. I can't imagine a pond pump using more power than this.

Do you have an example of a pond pump you want to use that I can look at?
