dude that survived katrina and wrote about it made excellent points about avoiding others, leo and nat guard. if you are not on the move early, you may not get to your BOL.

now w/ this dudes advise, even if you get there your stuff may not be there.

This fella's take on things is pretty much spot on with the way things are around here. If something new pops up, we notice it right away. getting to know your neighbors (all four of them lol) and being willing to share food and help with labor is huge for folks out here.

agreed, I think if you can find somewhere within a half hour where you have some local connection and spend a large amount of time there would be Ideal
